Commercial installation: On the 14th of March 2024, history was made when the eskom power supply was switched off on the Witkrans Farm and the new Gogreen solar power was switched on. During the day, all devices that use power were tested to determine if the system is sufficient. In the evening all power consumers were tested to the max to last through the night until the next day with sunlight.
The Gogreen team led by Okkert Smit (Gogreen Industries Head electrician) worked tirelessly for 11 days to do the installation. Some days in extreme weather conditions as on the farm may occur. The team lived on the farm and were self-sufficient and very disciplined. The work was done very neatly and organized with clear instructions and training.
Duard Siemens (Owner and Director) joined the team for the last 2 days to do the final round with Okkert.
Since that memorable day there have been no errors to be detected and no eskom power on. Although winter will be the determining factor, we trust that the power supply is sufficient for all conditions.
We thank the Gogreen Industries team for their good work and attitude. We wish them a prosperous future with the continued work.

Love the solar system and just the convenience of having electricity. Having been out of SA for 22 years and coming back to load shedding was quite challenging to say the least.
