Solar Charge Controller

The MPPT VE.Can SmartSolar charger incorporates cutting-edge technology to efficiently convert solar energy from an array into optimal charging power for battery banks. This intelligent charge controller is capable of recharging severely depleted batteries and can operate with a battery voltage as low as 0 Volts, as long as the cells are not permanently damaged.

MPPT: Ultra Fast Maximum Power Point Tracking

Equipped with MPPT technology, the VE.Can SmartSolar charger seamlessly connects to a PV array with a voltage range of 150 or 250 Volts Voc. It automatically detects and charges 12, 24, or 48V battery banks, delivering a current ranging from 70 to 100A depending on the model. The charge settings are fully customizable and can be tailored to different battery chemistries, such as lead-acid, lithium, and others.

Remote Control and Configuration

Take control of your charger from a distance using the convenient Bluetooth connectivity and the VictronConnect App. With remote control capabilities, you can easily set up and manage your MPPT VE.Can SmartSolar charger. Gain instant access to important information such as battery voltage, current, PV voltage, current, and historical data, providing you with comprehensive insights into your charging system.

Daisy Chain Capability

The VE.Can SmartSolar charger comes equipped with CAN bus ports, enabling communication with additional VE.Can SmartSolar chargers. These chargers can be seamlessly connected in a “daisy chain” configuration using a single RJ45 cable between the units. Once connected, all the individual VE.Can SmartSolar chargers will synchronize their charge stages, ensuring efficient and coordinated operation. Furthermore, the chargers can transmit their data via a single cable to a GX monitoring device, streamlining the monitoring process.

Remote Monitoring and Control

If your GX device is connected to the internet, you can leverage the Victron Remote Management Portal (VRM) to access the full capabilities of your solar charger(s). This remote monitoring and control feature provides you with convenient access to monitor and manage your charging system from anywhere.

SmartSolar Control Display

The VE.Can SmartSolar charger is equipped with a VE.Direct port, similar to our other MPPT solar chargers. This port enables single-unit monitoring or streetlight control. The remote on/off connector can be controlled externally by third-party devices such as lithium batteries. Additionally, an optional plug-in LCD display/control unit is available, providing real-time data, setup options, and management capabilities directly from the face of the device.
