Orion-Tr DC-DC Converters offer isolation and feature a remote on-off function. This eliminates the need for a high current switch in the input wiring, allowing the remote on-off to be operated using a low power switch or, for example, the engine’s run/stop switch (refer to the manual for details).
These converters also have an adjustable output voltage, making them versatile for use as battery chargers. They can be used, for instance, to charge a 12 Volt starter or accessory battery within a 24V system.
Furthermore, all models are designed to be short circuit proof and can be connected in parallel to increase the output current. There is no limit to the number of units that can be connected in parallel.
To ensure protection, the converters come with IP43 rating when installed with the screw terminals oriented downwards. Additionally, the installation process is hassle-free as no special tools are required, thanks to the screw terminals.
Lastly, it’s worth mentioning that input fuses are included in the 12V and 24V input models.
