PowerAssist:
The MultiPlus-II offers PowerAssist functionality to prevent overload of a limited AC source like a generator or shore power connection. It employs two levels of operation to manage the power flow effectively. Firstly, it automatically reduces battery charging when an overload is imminent. Secondly, it can boost the output of a generator or shore supply by utilizing power from the battery.
ESS: Energy Storage Systems:
The MultiPlus-II serves as a crucial component in Victron’s Energy Storage Systems (ESS). It provides the flexibility to combine with MPPT Solar Chargers or Grid-tie PV Inverters, enabling seamless integration and optimal utilization of energy. For detailed information and examples, refer to the ESS (Energy Storage System) manual.
Uninterrupted AC Power (UPS function):
In case of a grid failure or disconnection from shore or generator power, the MultiPlus-II automatically activates its inverter function to ensure uninterrupted power supply to connected loads. This rapid transition, taking less than 20 milliseconds, ensures that critical equipment such as computers and electronics can continue operating without any disruption.
Remote Monitoring and Control:
By pairing the MultiPlus-II with a GX device like Cerbo GX, you gain the ability to monitor and control your MultiPlus-II and entire system locally (via LAN) or remotely via the internet from anywhere in the world. This can be done using the free VRM app and VRM portal website. Whether using a phone, tablet, laptop, or PC with various operating systems, you have extensive control capabilities, such as adjusting the MultiPlus-II settings or even enabling automatic startup of a backup generator, among other features.
